Welcome to RockyBurris.com. The purpose of this website is to document my progress as I continue to develop as a pinstriper.

For as long as I can remember I've been fascinated by pinstriping and have been drawn to cars that incorporate these graceful adornments. I was finally given a push to try it for myself in 2002 when a good friend and master pinstriper Ron Pinkston lent me a brush and a how-to video he starred in back in the 80's. I tried without much success for a few months. I continued struggle without much progress for next couple of years.

Then in July of 2005 I discovered an online community at SketchKult.com where pinstripers from all over the world come together to share their experiences and nudge each other along the path to 1-shot enlightenment. SketchKult.com has been instrumental in my development as a pinstriper. It’s like have an army of professional pinstripers at your beckon call 24-7. You’ll not find a more talented group so willing to share and nurture a fledgling artist.

Given my up-bringing, I'm really disappointed that I didn't start doing this when I was a youngster....better late than never though so here we go.
