PINSTRIPING LESSONS
Well, if you’ve taken the time to read my bio then you know, I’m pretty new to pinstriping
myself. In fact, there are things about pinstriping I don’t even know that I don’t
know yet. So, you might be thinking "where does this kid get off thinkin he can
teach anyone anything about pinstriping?". The truth is, I am NOT qualified to teach
anyone about pinstriping, and that's not the purpose of this area of the site. The
real goal here is to share the lessons I've learned, as I learn them, from real
pinstriping professionals.
Like I’ve said before I’ve been very fortunate to meet many professional pinstripers,
who have forgotten more about pinstriping than I will probably ever learn. I’m talking
about world class pinstripers, true craftsmen like Bob Bond, Ray "El Vago" Smith,
Joey "Hotlines" Madden, David Hightower, Howie Nisgor, Bob "Bobbo" Dunn, Ron Pinkston,
Eric Campbell, Mike Pierce, Ron Myers, and Steve Kafka. These guys are real master
pinstripers, who have dedicated decades of their lives to pinstriping, and the quality
of their work is a testament to their dedication. I’d like to use this forum to
not only share, but also affirm, all the little lessons professional pinstripers
have been kind enough to share with me.
Having said all that, here's the lessons I've learned.
